LocalWorks
LocalWorks is a software-as-a-service platform used by piano-service businesses — piano tuners, movers, dealers, and storage operators — to schedule appointments and manage customer relationships. We send transactional SMS messages on behalf of those operator businesses to their customers, and this page documents how that program works.

Program: LocalWorks Appointment Notifications
What we send
Transactional SMS messages — appointment confirmations, day-before reminders, day-of arrival updates, payment receipts, and service follow-ups — sent by piano-service businesses (the “operator”) to customers who have booked services with that operator or who have an established service relationship with them. Messages are triggered by appointment events and operator actions, not marketing campaigns. We do not send promotional or advertising messages.
How customers opt in (Call to Action)
Customers opt in by one of two paths:
- Booking through a LocalWorks-hosted page. Each operator has a booking page at
localworks.app/p/<operator-slug>/tune(or similar). The customer enters their phone number to book an appointment. The contact step shows the following disclosure on the form, immediately above the submit button:By submitting this form you agree to receive SMS appointment reminders from {operator business name} about your booking. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies (typically 1–4 messages per appointment). Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
- Existing customer record imported by the operator. When an operator migrates from a prior business system (e.g., Gazelle), they import customers who have an established service relationship and have already consented to SMS reminders under that prior system. We do not generate consent from imported records; we rely on the operator’s representation that the customer consented under their prior system, and we honor any STOP request at any time.
Message frequency
Recurring; varies with the customer’s appointment and service history with the operator. Typical: 1–4 messages per appointment (booking confirmation, day-before reminder, day-of update, follow-up). Customers with multiple instruments or recurring service may receive periodic past-due reminders.
Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply, depending on the recipient’s mobile plan.
Opt-out
Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe at any time. STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT are all honored. After opting out, the recipient receives one final confirmation message and no further texts unless they opt back in.
Help
Reply HELPto any message for support. The reply includes the operator’s name, opt-out instructions, and a link or email for further assistance. Recipients can also contact the operator directly using the contact information on their booking page, or contact LocalWorks at hello@localworks.app.
